Evan Stewart · Bio
Evan Stewart is an entrepreneur, investor, and the co-founder and CEO of Basewell. Supporting his mission to create a world in which people are inspired by their potential, motivated by their progress, and fulfilled through their life’s work, his investments include companies in intellectual property holdings, biotech incubators for developing medical equipment, enterprise software (SaaS), and real estate.
In 2012, Stewart embarked on a career as a real estate entrepreneur, fully establishing his own brand in residential resale and development by 2013. Through seven years of building, he went on to earn multiple accolades, including D Magazine’s “Best Realtors in Dallas,” and a position within the top 1% of producers in Texas based on sales volume. In 2019, Evan’s real estate book of business was acquired by another broker.
Through his executive advisorship, Evan has assisted in the rapid expansion of multiple startups from idea to profitability. His advisory successes include a north Texas real estate company that has consistently doubled in size—or more—each year since 2018; a Canadian startup led by owners with no previous experience that reached over $1 million in revenue in its first year; and a family-therapy brand that achieved more than ten times its original revenue during just a three-year period. He still consults privately with a handful of small- and mid-market companies that are poised to revolutionize their respective niches.
Stewart is radically curious. Optimistic about the future and with a bias toward results-driven action, he is willing to take risks and pioneer the change he wants to see in the world. An advocate for creative, modern solutions to antiquated problems, Evan often directs his focus towards the intersection of people and technology: a union, he believes, that has the power to positively and sustainably impact human achievement long-term.
Always adventurous, Stewart’s inquisitive spirit often leads him into the Rocky Mountains. Summiting fourteeners, rock-climbing, fly-fishing, and hiking the remote backcountry are his way of “relaxing” when not at work.
Evan was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where he currently resides with his wife, Brittany, and dog, Owen.
